Purpose
“Planner Bee” is the brand name of the Service offered by Planner Bee Pte Ltd. Planner Bee is a software as a service (SaaS) platform that offers automated financial data aggregation and portfolio visualization via a mobile application (App). The data collected is used to provide you with this service. Security and safety of our clients’ data and information is our top priority.
We explain here how we handle and protect your information in compliance with the data protection laws of Singapore. Planner Bee Pte Ltd manage your data in accordance to the PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2012 of the REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE.
Use of your data and information
When you download the App and signup for an account, it is deemed that you have given us the consent to collect and process your data. It is deemed that you signed up to Planner Bee’s newsletter and email updates via the same email address used during your account registration.
We may collect and use your personal data for any or all of the following purposes:
(a) performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the goods and/or services requested by you;
(b) verifying your identity;
(c) responding to, handling, and processing queries, requests, applications, complaints, and feedback from you;
(d) managing your relationship with us;
(e) any other purposes for which you have provided the information;
(f) transmitting to any unaffiliated third parties including our third party service providers and agents, and relevant governmental and/or regulatory authorities, whether in Singapore or abroad, for the aforementioned purposes; and
(g) any other incidental business purposes related to or in connection with the above.
We may disclose your personal data:
(a) where such disclosure is required for performing obligations in the course of or in connection with our provision of the goods and services requested by you; or
(b) to third party service providers, agents and other organisations we have engaged to perform any of the functions with reference to the above mentioned purposes.
The purposes listed in the above clauses may continue to apply even in situations where your relationship with us (for example, pursuant to your employment contract should you be hired) has been terminated or altered in any way, for a reasonable period thereafter (including, where applicable, a period to enable us to enforce our rights under a contract with you).
Personal Data
As used in this Notice:
“customer” means an individual who (a) has contacted us through any means to find out more about any goods or services we provide, or (b) may, or has, entered into a contract with us for the supply of any goods or services by us; and
“personal data” means data, whether true or not, about a customer who can be identified: (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.
Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, some examples of personal data which we may collect from you include name, email address, telephone number, gender, date of birth and financial information.
We use the financial account statements and other financial data that you provide to us or authorise us to have access (collectively, your “Personal Financial Data”), in order to deliver the Planner Bee service you have subscribed to. We will maintain such data as strictly confidential and will not sell, lease or distribute the same to any third party (other than certain trusted third party service providers involved in the operations of our business and performing services on our behalf, with restricted access to customer data and information, on a need-to-know basis only, and in compliance with this Privacy Statement) without your documented approval, unless we are required or requested to do so by law or any regulatory authority for the jurisdiction that we operate in.
We generally do not collect your personal data unless
(a) it is provided to us voluntarily by you directly or via a third party who has been duly authorised by you to disclose your personal data to us (your “authorised representative”) after (i) you (or your authorised representative) have been notified of the purposes for which the data is collected, and (ii) you (or your authorised representative) have provided written consent to the collection and usage of your personal data for those purposes, or
(b) collection and use of personal data without consent is permitted or required by the PDPA or other laws. We shall seek your consent before collecting any additional personal data and before using your personal data for a purpose which has not been notified to you (except where permitted or authorised by law).
For the avoidance of doubt, Personal Financial Data for this purpose does not include information that is aggregated with similar data from other users to produce Meta Data as described below, or is otherwise no longer identifiable to any specific Planner Bee user.
Meta Data
For the purpose of producing statistical collective data amongst Planner Bee users (“Meta Data”), we may aggregate your personal data together with similar data from other Planner Bee users. Meta Data will be produced in such a manner that the underlying data will be no longer identifiable to any specific user. We may share Meta Data amongst Planner Bee users as part of the service provided, and also with our business partners and other third parties to help us make improvements and/or enhancements to our products and services and for marketing, research and academic purposes. Rest assured that Meta Data cannot be linked to an individual or user in any way.
Personal Identification Information
We treat all of your Personal Identification Information with strict confidentiality. We will not sell, lease, or distribute the same to any third party without your documented approval, unless we are required or requested to do so by law or any regulatory authority for the jurisdiction that we operate in. Such data will be used solely to facilitate communication, and processing of internal administrative and record keeping.
Salt Edge End User License Terms
Planner Bee adopts a third party aggregation solution which aids the mobile application in processing the financial data. The main terms can be found here, but the truncated important points will be identified here. In accessing and using the Aggregation Services you represent that you are the legal owner of the Provider Account Data and that you have the authority to appoint, and do expressly appoint Salt Edge and/or our third party providers as your agent with limited power of attorney to access and retrieve Provider Account Data on your behalf. You further acknowledge that Salt Edge does not (nor do our third party providers) review or analyse Provider Account Data and you agree that we are not responsible for its completeness or accuracy. Any transactions or informational activities performed at any Provider’s website are not made through the Services and Salt Edge assumes no responsibility for such transactions or activities. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any changes to Provider Account Data, and that any such changes must be made at the Provider’s website.
Access to financial account
User acknowledges and agrees that Planner Bee will collect, use, process and store Licensee Information for the purpose of providing the services to users. Users expressly authorizes the provision of the services, to use certain information in order to: (a) collect account data; (b) reformat, organize, structure, alter and adapt certain Information; (c) create and provide hypertext links to Financial Institution(s); (d) access the Financial Institution Services using user’s access Information; (e) update and maintain the information in user account created in connection with the service (f) address errors or service interruptions; (g) take such other actions as are reasonably necessary to perform the actions described in (a) through (f) above, each in connection with the provision of the services.
By giving consent and using the service, it warrants that Planner Bee has the authority to with limited power of attorney to access the financial account in read-only mode in order to retrieve the account data on the user’s behalf. Planner Bee is not responsible for its completeness or accuracy.
Keeping your data and information safe:
What we do
We are committed to the safety and security of your data and information. To safeguard your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks, we have introduced appropriate administrative, physical and technical measures such as encryption, firewalls, use of privacy filters, and disclosing personal data both internally and to our authorised third party service providers and agents only on a need-to-know basis.
You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of your information and are constantly reviewing and enhancing our information security measures.
The aforementioned security efforts do not preclude us from the possibility of fraud, cyber-attacks, such as hacking, spyware and viruses, and we do not warrant that our servers or network will be immune from such attacks. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from such risks.
What you should and should not do
You should keep your Planner Bee user ID and password and PIN strictly confidential at all times and not share these details with anyone. In public areas, you should exercise caution and not leave your device unattended whilst logged into your account. You should also avoid using public terminals to access your Planner Bee account, unless you can adequately verify that the terminal is free from spyware and that you can erase all of your information upon exiting the terminal. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account due to any failure to comply with these precautions.
Other data
We may record certain non-personal information, such as application usage, in-app browsing activity, and application activity including user interface elements. Along with cookies, we may also use third-party tracking technologies, such as Google Analytics, to record similar information regarding you and your activity on the App. We may grant access to such non-personal information and tracking activity to certain trusted third party services providers that we work with, but only to perform services on our behalf with restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis only, and always in compliance with this Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
In the process of collecting your Personal Financial Data for the purpose of generating reports, we may obtain relevant financial information from various sources.
We may retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws. We will cease to retain your personal data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose for which the personal data was collected, and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.
If you decide to stop the service, we will delete all such data within a reasonable time after the termination of the service, subject to retention for purposes of complying with applicable laws, resolving disputes, enforcing the terms of our agreement with you and protecting Planner Bee’s intellectual property rights.
Transfer of your personal data outside of Singapore
The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to, used, processed and stored outside of Singapore for one or more of the purposes set out above. By submitting your personal data and/or using our Platform, you agree and consent to such transfer, storing or processing.
We have entered into contractual undertakings to ensure that the personal data which we collect from you and transfer to our service providers (whether or not located in Singapore) is adequately protected.
We will take reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of your personal information.
Changes and accuracy of personal data
We generally rely on personal data provided by you (or your authorised representative). In order to ensure that your personal data is current, complete and accurate, please update us if there are changes to your personal data via email to ask@plannerbee.co. You should try to ensure such personal data is accurate, and let us know if such personal data changes so that we are not holding any inaccurate personal data about the you.
Access to personal data
If you wish to make an access request for access to a copy of the personal data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your personal data, or a correction request to correct or update any of your personal data which we hold about you, you may submit your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer at the contact details provided below.
Please note that a reasonable fee may be charged for an access request. If so, we will inform you of the fee before processing your request.
We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. In general, our response will be within thirty (30) business days. Should we not be able to respond to your request within thirty (30) days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request. If we are unable to provide you with any personal data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are not required to do so under the PDPA).
Withdrawal of consent
1) App account
You may write to us to delete your App account at any time at ask@plannerbee.co to withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data.
2) Unsubscribe to email newsletters
You may write to us to unsubscribe from the Planner Bee newsletters at any time at ask@plannerbee.co or click on “unsubscribe” link in Planner Bee newsletters.
Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we may require reasonable time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process your request within ten (10) business days of receiving it.
Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that depending on the nature and scope of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing our goods or services to you.
Please note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclose without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws.

Effect of notice and changes to notice
This Notice applies in conjunction with any other notices, contractual clauses and consent clauses that apply in relation to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data by us.
We may revise this Notice from time to time without any prior notice. You may determine if any such revision has taken place by referring to the date on which this Notice was last updated. Your continued use of our services constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of such changes.
