Product Comparison
Q: How do you compare plans?
We start with your needs. Wherever possible, we match the same or very similar benefits across insurers and rank options by price.
We also consider additional benefits, exclusions, policy terms, and claims experience from our partners and customers. You’ll see the trade‑offs clearly so you can choose with confidence.
Q: What types of insurance can I compare and buy here?
We commonly help with the following personal insurance categories (availability varies by insurer and your profile):
- Term life
- Whole life / participating policies
- Critical illness (CI) including early / multi‑pay CI
- Health insurance (Integrated Shield Plans) and riders
- Personal accident
- Disability income
- General insurance, e.g. travel, home, motor
If you’re looking for something specific, tell us your needs and we’ll advise what’s available.
Q: Which insurers do you work with?
We source across more than 20 insurers to find suitable options.
Application Process
Q: What is the application process like?
Once you confirm your preferred option, we’ll send the required information checklist. After that, we’ll schedule a Zoom call with one of our salaried advisors working with our independent, MAS‑licensed broker partners.
During the call, we’ll run through the product details and application forms, then you’ll sign digitally to submit your application.
Q: Does it cost more to buy through Planner Bee? How are you paid?
No, we do not charge a fee for our services. We may get a referral fee for each deal that is made through us from the provider or broker.
Your premiums are the same when buying through Planner Bee or directly from the providers. If an insurer runs a promotion or revises rates, we’ll reflect that in your quote.
Q: What documents will I need to apply?
Typically identification (e.g., NRIC/FIN), contact and address details, employment/income information, and health disclosures. For certain products, additional forms may be required by the insurer.
Q: Will I need a medical check‑up?
That depends on the insurer, your age, sum assured, and disclosures. If medicals are needed, we’ll help schedule them and guide you through the process.
Q: When does my coverage start?
Coverage begins only after the insurer issues your policy or confirms temporary cover, where applicable and after the first premium is settled. Your policy schedule will state the exact start date.
Q: Can we meet in person or speak over calls?
To ensure a consistent, high‑quality service experience for all customers, we handle most communications via WhatsApp and email. This keeps everything clear and well‑documented so we can respond efficiently.
For application reviews and complex cases, we’ll arrange a Zoom call to walk you through details live.
After-Sales Support
Q: How do I get help post‑sale?
We’ve built a one‑stop communication centre so you can reach us easily for all queries and policy‑servicing matters.
- WhatsApp: https://wa.me/6590117361/
- Email: ask@plannerbee.co
We’ll route your request to the right person on our team. Whether it’s claims guidance, updating details, or payment reminders, we’re here to help.
Q: How do renewals and reminders work?
We track important dates and send payment and renewal reminders. If your needs change, we can review options before renewal.
Q: How do I pay my premiums?
Premiums are usually collected by the insurer or their appointed payment provider (e.g., credit/debit card, GIRO, PayNow, bank transfer). In some cases, payment may be facilitated through our partners, in line with the insurer’s instructions.
For step‑by‑step options, see our Payment Methods page. If you need help setting up or changing your payment method (e.g., recurring deductions), contact us via WhatsApp or ask@plannerbee.co.
Always follow the payee name and method shown on your policy documents or instructions given. We will never ask you to transfer to a personal account.
Q: Can I switch or cancel an existing policy?
Yes, but please speak with us first so you understand any loss of coverage, exclusions, waiting periods, penalties, or surrender values. We’ll help you weigh trade‑offs before you proceed.
Q: Is there a cooling‑off / free‑look period?
If your policy includes a free‑look period, commonly 14 days, it will be stated in your policy document. During this period you can review the policy and decide whether to keep it. Terms differ by product and insurer.
Q: How do I give feedback or make a complaint?
Please contact us via WhatsApp or email ask@plannerbee.co
with your policy details and a brief description of the issue. We’ll review and respond with next steps and updates.
If still unresolved, you can approach FIDReC (Financial Industry Disputes Resolution Centre), Singapore’s independent dispute-resolution body for consumers and financial institutions (filing is free).
Policyholder Protection
Q: What happens if my insurer fails?
If a licensed insurer in Singapore fails, eligible policyholders are protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection (PPF) Scheme, administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). The scheme ensures that guaranteed benefits under covered policies continue, subject to limits.
For life insurance, coverage is up to S$500,000 in guaranteed sum assured per life assured per insurer, and up to S$100,000 in guaranteed surrender or cash values. General insurance claims are generally fully covered, subject to legal limits for compulsory policies.
For full details on coverage and limits, please refer to the official SDIC website.
Q: Are insurers in Singapore financially safe?
Yes. Insurers in Singapore are regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and must meet strict capital and risk management requirements. The PPF Scheme serves as an additional safety net for rare and extreme situations.
Q: Which insurers are covered under the PPF Scheme?
Most MAS-licensed life and general insurers operating in Singapore are members of the PPF Scheme.
Q: What types of insurance policies are covered?
The scheme covers most life insurance policies (including term, whole life, endowment and annuities) and general insurance policies such as motor, travel, home and maid insurance. For investment-linked policies, only guaranteed benefits are covered.
Coverage applies automatically and free if your policy is issued by a member insurer.
